Review and fix your entries

Add manual or offline time, edit and discard entries, review idle periods and attribute unassigned time.

Every piece of time recorded for you — from the timer, the desktop agent, or added by hand — is an entry. MeMy entries lists them all with their source, and is where you fix anything that’s off before you submit your timesheet.

Who can do this:MemberEveryone. Managers can also add or correct entries for the people they look after; every change is audited.

Find your entries#

Go to MeMy entries. Use the date range, All projects, All sources and Active entries filters at the top of the list to narrow it down.

My entries in the demo workspace.
SourceWhat it means
TimerStarted and stopped with the timer (web or desktop agent).
AutomaticRecorded by the desktop agent in Automatic mode.
Manual entryAdded by hand afterwards.
Self-reportedOffline time you logged (a meeting, call, client visit…). It counts as tracked time but never as active time.

Add time you forgot to track#

  1. Choose Manual entry

It’s at the top right of My entries.

  2. Fill in the project, times and a note

The dialog shows the duration as you type. The entry is labelled as a manual entry on your timesheet.

  3. Choose Add entry

Add a manual entry.

Log offline time#

For work away from your computer — a client visit, a call, travel — open the arrow next to Manual entry and choose Log offline time (meeting, call, travel). Pick an Activity, the start and end, add a note (“On-site workshop at client office”) and choose Log time.

Offline time is labelled self-reported and is never counted as active time.
ActivityWhat it means
Meeting, CallConversations away from your computer.
Client visitTime at a client’s site.
TrainingCourses, workshops and learning.
TravelGetting to and from work locations.
Offline work, OtherAnything else you did without your computer.

Rules for added time#

Manual and offline entries can’t end in the future, and they can’t overlap time you already logged with the timer or by hand — you’ll see “This overlaps time that’s already logged.” They can overlap automatic time, because the agent may still be recording an idle laptop while you’re out at a client.

Edit an entry#

  1. Open the entry’s menu

Choose the ⋯ button at the end of the row, then Edit.

  2. Change the project, task, times or note

The dialog says “Edits are audited with a before/after record your approver can see.”

  3. Choose Save changes

Edit time entry.

After the first edit, the entry keeps its original captured values. The Edited badge on the row, and the edit dialog, show “Edited — original: …” so you and your approver can always see what was recorded before the change.

Your organisation’s editing rule#

Your tracking policy decides how your own edits work:

RuleWhat it means
Edit freelyYour change is saved straight away (“Entry updated”).
Edits need approvalYour change is sent to your approver (“Change sent for approval”). The entry stays as it is until they accept. Only one change per entry can wait at a time.
No editingYou can’t add, edit or remove your own time — you’ll see “This change can’t be saved”. Ask your manager to make the correction; their change is audited.

Editing an approved timesheet#

If the entry is in a timesheet that’s already approved (but not locked), the dialog warns “This timesheet is already approved” and the button becomes Save and send for re-approval. Saving sends the timesheet back to your approver, so approved hours never change silently. Entries in a locked period can’t be changed — ask an admin to unlock it.

Discard an entry#

Choose ⋯ then Discard and confirm with Discard entry. It no longer counts toward your tracked time, but it stays in the audit history. If your policy needs approval for edits, the removal waits for approval too.

Review idle time#

When the agent recorded periods with no keyboard or mouse input that you haven’t reviewed yet, a card at the top of My entries shows them — for example “2 idle periods to review · 36m”. For each one, choose:

ChoiceWhat it means
KeepIt was work — reading, a call, thinking. It stays on your time.
AssignCount it towards a specific project (for example a meeting).
DiscardRemove it from your tracked time.
Idle periods from the last 14 days that you haven’t reviewed.

Attribute unassigned time#

Automatic time recorded without a project shows a banner such as “3h 10m unassigned yesterday — attribute it in one go”. Choose Attribute time, pick blocks of the day, choose a project and save — or set a rule by app so it happens automatically next time.

What your manager sees#

What the member sees

Your manager sees the same entries you do, with their source, and the before/after of every edit. Self-reported time is always labelled as such. Discarded entries and resolved idle periods are recorded in the audit history, which you can also see about yourself.

Questions#

Why can’t I edit an entry?
Either your policy doesn’t allow editing your own time, a change is already waiting for approval, or the period is locked. The dialog tells you which.
Does offline time count as active time?
No. It counts as tracked time and appears on your timesheet, but it’s labelled self-reported and isn’t part of activity or productivity scores.
When is my timesheet affected?
Immediately — entries are what your timesheet adds up. See Submit your timesheet.
